Has anyone done business with Rarefilms?

It contains hundreds of interesting, vintage, and historical German films. The company is based in Arizona. Before I order from a site that's new to me, I'd like to have some feedback about their efficiency.
Thanks
Danny

Re: Rarefilms
From what I can gather, many of the films they are passing off as out of copyright are not. While I personally have no moral problems purchasing material from such places if its not available elsewhere and never likely to be, selling copies of films that have appeared in the filmmuseum series, for example, is for me a no-no.

I think I bought Ohm Kruger from them years ago. Fine. They also have an amazing number of Emil Jannings' German films....

I have purchased several films from them. They are very forthright in their descriptions of the various print conditions and they offer many films with English subtitles that you can't get anywhere else. They also provide pretty quick service and will rectify any problems with defective discs.

Although I'm not absolutely certain, I get the impression most of them come from one specific download site that also does a lot of (fan/amateur) subtitling.ajabrams wrote:I have purchased several films from them. In silent film, no-one can hear you scream.
