What is 'AJC' stands for ?

I scanned this pix from 100ft nitrate film fragment ( which I'll upload the 70-secs clip here very soon ) with the intertitle from the Romantic Drama movie, shot around 1915 - 1918 - probably in the States, along with it's trademark film company logo marked at bottom of the screen. It's 'AJC'. What is that standed for ?

It could also be read as ACJ - in monograms of personal names the last name initial is often in the center.

The words in the title card lead me to believe
that AJC stands for American Jewish Committee.
