I'm having one made up. If it looks okay, I'll offer it. I'm concerned about the back-and-forth from 25fps to 24 etc. The video source came from the PAL DVD. So we'll see.

A superb work, Ray. I have seen hundreds of trailers in theaters as you can think, from 1955 to the early 1980s, and this one could easily pass for the original. Wonderful!

Looks good, Ray. A few things: snap up the timings on those wipes to 16-frames. The fonts could use a little more variety, but it's tough, because most of the Universal trailers during that period were hand-lettered, and the main title was generally matted with something (like the glitter matte on the CRAZY HOUSE trailer title). You can matte that in by chromakeying the letters out with a matte (Pond5 has a number of great glitter mattes). Otherwise, excellent selection. Did you have a continuity of the original?

No, Jack, I just tried to follow the style and use scenes I thought might have been used. A modern trailer would have totally different scenes, playing up the in-jokes etc.

My editing program does not have a great variety of wipes that can be used for these trailers. Most of them are more modern and glitzy etc. But these will work for conversion to have available in promoting screenings.

That was terrific! Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to pull out my DVD and watch it again this week.
