Do the NFT screenings still use film or are they totally digital now?

I haven't been in a while, so can't speak from recent experience. But I would think that it is a mixture of both film and digital. All new releases (including rep titles) will most likely be digital, whereas older titles that haven't been re-released will probably be 35mm.
O well, I just had a look at their program, and it mentions in the description if it is digital. So, the re-releases of 'Lift to the scaffold', 'The General' and 'The night of the hunter' and recent films are all digital, but older titles like 'Dog Day Afternoon' and I noticed several CFF titles that seem to be film prints. One Buster Keaton short even mentioned 'NEW PRINT'.

I see from the website that some of the films mention "Digital" while some don't mention any format. Do I take it that if no format is specified, then it's film?

Well that was my take on it, but I suppose you should call it an educated guess...
I noticed that, for example, for the titles from the Buster Keaton season, the ones that Park Circus (http://www.parkcircus.com" target="_blank) lists as available on DCP are all listed as Digital in the BFI program and none of the other ones (they are only available from Park Circus on 35mm).

When I went to the NFT about 3 years ago now to see the Hitchcock celebration they ran "Psycho" and "North By Northwest" - and both were digital... I could tell because there was no film dirt and no circular reel-change markers in the top right hand corner every ten minutes or so... The picture though was stunning on both films, and so was the sound... The friend who I took with me was not a fan of "old" films, but even he said "Oh wow isn't the sound good and spooky on Psycho... It's coming from all around the theater!".
