Can anyone in Nitrateville help me find a DVD (or VHS –or 8mm – or 16mm) of the 1913 version of IVANHOE starring King Baggot? We are throwing a King Baggot tribute event here in St. Louis in November as part of the St. Louis International Film Festival (Baggot was from St. Louis). The Museum of Modern Art in New York will be loaning us their 35mm print of IVANHOE but they have no digital copy. We are hiring musicians to work up a score for the film and are in urgent need of a DVD (of ANY quality) in advance so they have something to practice to. Please spread the word and inform all who deal in hard-to-find silent films. Of course, I’m willing to pay whatever the seller wants. Thank You – Tom Stockman

Kind of off-topic, but did you know LoC has a chapter of the serial "The Hawk's Revenge", dir by W.S. van Dyke, that Baggot starred in? Just ran this as part of a serials program I presented. Chapter is in 35mm, and complete.

FOUND IT! - Thanks to David Keihn at the Niles who put me in touch with the EYE Institute in the Netherlands. Apparently no digital copy exists stateside - had to go to Europe - but I found it!

Great to hear the detective work paid off. I would assume a digital copy from Europe will need a multi-region player and a
multi-system TV or projector to play. Shouldn't be a great hurdle to overcome.

Where is the castle in the picture? Magnificent!
