Favorite love gone-wrong movies?

Post by Phillyrich » Fri Sep 26, 2014 11:22 am

I guess I am a sucker for movies where love fails, shatters ideals, and especially...destroys those who wish to be loved.

My favorites include Bogart and Gloria Graham's IN A LONELY PLACE, Sinatra and Martha Hyer/Shirley MacLaine triangle in SOME CAME RUNNING, and Mickey Rooney and Dianne Foster in DRIVE A CROOKED ROAD.

Anyone want to add any favorites? Feel free to describe a favorite scene in the film too.

Why, what could be more tragic in its consequences than Kong's for Fay? (I feel his pain.)

Serves him right. He was too tall for her, and shouldn't have gone all ape...
