Your Show of Shows Technicolor reel found

Ron Hutchinson just announced on the Facebook Vitaphone groupthat a full reel of original Technicolor material from "Your Show of Shows" that includes the "Sisters" number has been discovered in England. The reel is on its way to the George Eastman House for restoration. More details soon.

lol ... I've been watching too many 50s tv shows on YouTube lately.

Yes, the footage is indeed from "The Show of Shows".

Hardly "discovered", but possibly "rediscovered".

The existence of this reel has been known among certain archivists for many years and at least two collectors I know of have had 16mm color prints made from it for well over 30 years.

The last set of frames Is from Gold Diggers of Broadway. I always wondered if that dancer on the left is James Cagney?

No it's not James Cagney, but I know what you mean. They truly are exceptional dancers aren't they!! Especially when they dance on their heads!!! I wonder who they were??? Does anyone know???
