I collected 16mm monster movies to show my kids when they were young, but now they're not anymore. Not sure how that happened. But in any case, rather than cart these things around for the rest of my life, I'd like to sell them.
I know this is kind of hopeless, but I'd like to sell them in one big package to someone local. Is there anyone out there near San Francisco - or someone willing to pay the postage required to ship these?
It a fairly extensive list - probably 30 or so films - and is a mixed assortment of dupes, rental library prints, and somewhat rare excellent prints. I know there is a lot of garbage in there, but there is also some good stuff and I am fine taking dimes on the dollar just to avoid eBay.
I was a fairly well known collector back in the late 80s/early nineties and some might recognize my name (Mark Assaf) or my username Sciencemonster. I bought tons of films back in the day, always cheap, and not always the best condition. These would be of more interest to someone who enjoys watching films, rather than someone who is out collecting mint prints.
Anyway, if anyone might be interested in a bulk buy, please contact me. I am making up a list now and will update.
UPDATE: Here is the list. It's only 24 films.

There are film dealers in California that might be willing to buy the entire collection. You should join http://www.16mmfilmtalk.com" target="_blank and post this message there.

Thx. I listed them on Craigslist and got a couple bites, much to my surprise. Hopefully at least one will turn out to not be a flake.

This is a dream list to me...wow! I have been collecting movies since I was 10 years old and still show 16mm to friends several times a year! Are any of these still available? My email is [email protected]" target="_blank
Thank you,

No, sorry. I posted them on Craigslist and sold them a couple days later to a kid in Oakland. Much to my surprise.
