Hey All,
Thursday February 12th, the week of its 100th anniversary, I will be showing a super 8 Blackhawk print of D.W. Griffith's Birth Of A Nation. Donnie Lee has worked his magic once again, and recently made cd transfers from the original tapes of a recording his father made of Paul Norman playing the piano for the film at silent speed. These were originally recorded at RKO Studios in N.Y. This recording was originally used for showings at The Essex Film Club in Nutley NJ, and was sold separately for The Griggs Moviedrome, and Essex Films.
All films in the series are on Reel Film, Thursday evenings through March at 7:30PM at The WOMR Davis Space in The Schoolhouse 494 Commercial St. in Provincetown, MA. There will be a $5 dollar suggested donation to help community supported radio WOMR during the off season. Free Popcorn will be provided by The Provincetown Inn, and Beer, Wine, and Soda will be available for donation too.
