I have never cut corners or taken shortcuts. You won't find people's eyeballs floating around on their heads, you won't see combing or artifacts and you won't see DVDs made from VHS masters. If a film transfer takes 28 hours to compress to DVD, then it takes 28 hours. I won't compromise. In many cases, Reelclassicdvd releases have surpassed the quality of those released by Kino and Image. I know because I've compared them. I'm also proud to say that my silent releases have always been provided with custom music scores created and performed by some of the best musicians in the business.
Agreed 100%, Mark. You take pains to master everything from the best collector prints you can find, and then you make the absolute best possible use of this source material. I especially love that there's no combing or artifacts, which unfortunately I can't say for some companies that release silents on pressed DVD and Blu-ray, such as Kino, Cohen, Flicker Alley, and even Warner Bros. It's so sad when a silent film release sourced from pristinely restored elements is hamstrung by motion artifacting due to faulty authoring/mastering/frame interpolation, which happens distressingly often.

And, your custom music scores are indeed the bees knees.
