I think it's misidentified here. I'm pretty sure it's not Larry Semon--it just doesn't look like him (especially the nose in profile). And the Worries and Wobbles listing in IMDB doesn't include any female cast members (though IMDB is not faultless), so I'm thinking it could be a totally different film. The original Dutch version of the title, Billy is Dronken, made me think it might be Billy West, but I don't know his work well enough to recognize him. There are no titles in West's IMDB filmography that are obvious matches, but I would guess that listing might not be complete. Any thoughts?

I'd like to correct the listing if it's wrong. It's also embedded in the Larry Semon Wikipedia page.

thanks!
Christine

This is indeed WORRIES AND WOBBLES with Jimmy Aubrey. I can't remember the woman's name, but Joe Rock and Earl Montgomery is in this and director Larry Semon is seen briefly as a cop.

This is Aubrey doing Karno's drunk.

Thank you! Since it was posted on the Semon page, implying it was an example of his typical starring performances, I assumed that the main character had been mistaken for Semon.

Now I'm wondering who the woman is, since she's not listed on IMDB (apparently she was not officially credited). None of the period-appropriate leading ladies I think she resembles seem to have credits that match.

She's the future Mrs. Harold Lloyd, Mildred Davis, age 16.

It looks like Mildred very much, but she is actually Alice Mann. Google RIPS AND RUSHES and she is in that one too. W&W was filmed in Brooklyn.

I think Tommie and I posted this at the same time - but as he says it isn't Mildred Davis - it's Alice Mann. She was a regular in Vitagraph comedies at that time. Here she is in RIPS AND RUSHES ('17), another Semon-directed Jimmy Aubrey short:

Besides other Vitagraph shorts like THERE AND BACK ('17) and TURKS AND TROUBLE ('17) she moved on to work with Fatty Arbuckle in Comique shorts like HIS WEDDING NIGHT ('17) and CONEY ISLAND ('17).
