Chance for a better Bed of Roses?

Post by Lokke Heiss » Sun Feb 28, 2016 12:15 pm

The topic of Gregory La Cava's Bed of Roses (1933) was brought up - I think this film is a charming adult comedy, but have only seen it - I think on TCM - in a very washed-out print. It's a truism to say all films could be better appreciated when viewed in the best possible condition, but I think it's especially true for BoR because so much of it happens in low-light situations. Anyone out there know about the chances of this being restored to a better state? And is there any other reason for this film not to make the pre-Code festival circuit, like right's issues?
