In 2016 I had a True Crime book about an actual 1927 kidnapping and murder case come out in March, a book on Mickey Rooney's movies released in April, and I have one on Jack Nicholson's films coming out in December.
In January of 2017, my book The W.C. Fields Films will be released. It contains more info on the lost silents, more info on the formerly lost and recently discovered silents, as well as fresh assessments of the noted classics. There will be some rare photos not seen in other books, and info about the fact that THE GOLF SPECIALIST is actually not his talkie film debut as indicated elsewhere. This book is a softcover and will be affordable at under 30 bucks. Here is the link to pre-order from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/W-C-Fields-Films ... ok+neibaur" target="_blank
I am current writing The Monster Movies of Universal Studios. When I finish that, I will start Andy Clyde's Columbia Comedies.
Thanks for any interest you might have in my book projects.

This is one book I'm definitely going to get. Though James Curtis' exceptional Fields-biography covers his life story as painstakingly as any fan of the comedian could dream of, a more analytical study of his entire film catalogue is much appreciated.

Any chance of a Kindle version? I like to get my favorite film references in both print and digital form.

Got it! Started reading but stopped before reading about "The Films". What's the point of starting until I get the Blu-rays of Running Wild and It's the Old Army Game? But when I do, I'll be watching all the movies (except the lost ones, of course) before reading about 'em.
