Re: Patricia Barry Dead at 93
Patricia Barry made an indelible impression on me when she appeared in that love potion episode of The Twilight Zone. I had no idea until a few years ago how old she was at that time. I once checked her listing on IMDB for an appearance in a series about "famous houses in Hollywood," whatever it was called. She appeared as the owner? of said house (I forget the star who owned it originally). No mention was made that she was an actress herself (as far as I can remember).

Barry was unforgettable in a daring 1958 1/2-hour Gunsmoke episode called "The Cabin," a TV adaptation (as were most early GSs) of the CBS radio version by John Meston. She plays a tragic victim of rape and torture by outlaws (Claude Akins and Harry Dean Stanton) in a snowbound cabin. Grim stuff with an alarming denouement. It can be found on YouTube, as can the original 1952 radio episode. Starz Encore Western cable channel shows it Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 at 2:35pm EST.
