It has bothered me that one of Max Linder's best films, MAKES TAKES TONICS / MAX VICTIME DU QUINQUINA (1911), has only been available with French or German intertitles, so I recently made a version with English titles (and "visitor's cards") myself. I've tried to be faithful to the original titles. Some well-known Scott Joplin-tracks for music. Enjoy.

You're very welcome.
I also made this 8-minute tribute to Max. I know there are several such videos out there on YT, but I suppose one more can't hurt! Some Johann Strauss & Claude Debussy for music this time.

I mean, where'd you get the "Tonic" movie? Quality is not bad 'tall.
Re: MAX TAKES TONICS (1911) - with English subtitles
It's the version that was shown on French and German TV in the '90s, along with 30+ other Linder-shorts.

That was awesome, thanks for sharing! Hard to believe that was done in 1911.
