Very saddened to report that Max Linder's daughter, Maud, passed away yesterday, at the age of 93.

It feels a bit strange to write this, the day after my own book on Max was published...

Thanks, Bob. I'm afraid she did not get to see my book, but she did kindly respond to my letters with questions to her several years ago, for which I am very grateful. Her father's work would not have been half as widely known among film enthusiasts today, were it not for her. Fans of silent comedy are forever in her debt.
Re: Maud Linder has passed away
So sad her parents died when she was an infant, so she probably didn't remember them at all. Recalling Maud takes me back to the video store days as thats when I discovered her docu. to Max 'The Man in the Silk Hat'. RIP Maud.
