Why not a thread where we look up the current value of the property/homes/real estate of silent era personages?

Wish Mark Hamilton would have kept the Eagle Rock property and the Buick and Edsel in the driveway as they would have still been worth something well after the talkies and of course knowing with the price of land in that part of the country today.

Oh well. Who knows what situations performers were in when they sold or had life changes at that time.

I think i read that Madge Bellamy lived in her mansion and lived very frugally with her mom for years when she wasnt making money anymore, she then sold her home in the early 1980s during the Los Angeles real estate boom . She said she made more money on her home than she did in her entire career. She moved out to Upland California and lived out the last 10 years of her life dying at 90.

Lillian Gish onced mentioned that her and her sister Dorothy Gish were going to buy the land at a prime corner in Beverly Hills but had a change of mind and instead went to buy dresses instead. Miss Gish did die wealthy in New York City though.
