Delight Evans grew up with the movies, landing her first job at Photo-Play in 1917 writing free verse and eventually becoming critic and then main editor of SCREENLAND magazine in the 1920s. Her sassy, fresh approach appealed to women and helped circulation soar.

Did she ever write about Carole Lombard? She, too, was from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Just curious. Do you know?

She probably at least wrote a film review. There were more than 630 hits on Lantern alone, which didn't always bring up the reviews and/or stories, so there would be a lot to search.

According to wikipedia she's 116 years old. Just, kidding, the wiki article does mention her husband pre-deceased her. Did she disappear into obscurity?

I've tried ancestry, lantern, newspapers.com, etc., and I can't find a death notice for Cordelia or Delight Evans. I only found her real first name Cordelia in the 1910 Census and the marriage record.
