A very 125th Happy Birthday to one of my all-time favorites ( if you didn't know that, please glance to the left side if the screen right now).
I am happy TCM is honoring him.
I do wish they had broken out the rare stiff for the 1 1/4 Century Mark. Some one-reelers would have been nice....they have "Lunk Joins the Navy" ( thanks to Bruce Lawton, I believe), & a decent copy if "A Sammy in Siberia". They showed these in May 2013.....once......and a storm knocked out my TCM feed (I screamed so loud my family came running).
I thought when 125 rolled around they would honor him with a special showcase & break out the rare stuff.

Happy Birthday to Harold. I just wish Criterion had not canceled their Harold Lloyd Blu-Ray series.

No one says it's cancelled - Criterion typically has a slow and sporadic release schedule.Tommie Hicks wrote:Happy Birthday to Harold. I just wish Criterion had not canceled their Harold Lloyd Blu-Ray series.

I'll watch Grandma's Boy to celebrate, though Harold's a year younger than my great grandfather, and Grandma's Boy came out the year my grandma was born. Happy birthday Harold.
