There's also Marilyn Monroe's famous gasoline commercial from 1950 (clipped and shown in endless MM documentaries given there's so little pd footage of MM) and in the mid 60's one of the coffee companies was successful at getting Claudette Colbert and Barbara Stanwyck to each make commercials for them - their only ones.

Didn't know about Stanwyck's '82 commercial - according to one of the books on her she really had to be talked into doing the 60's coffee commercial - but I guess she would jump at a chance to get back in western gear for the camera, if only for a few seconds.

Mae West did several radio commercials for Poland spring water in her last years, they're on youtube

Ann Blyth was all over tv in the early and mid 70's hawking Hostess snack cakes


In the 60s Mamie Van Doren did Aqua Velva commercials that may have made her more famous than her career in B movies


A decade before June Allyson hawked Depends she did a series of commercials for the Wilson's store change. They played daily for years on local after school tv in the 70s but I couldn't find any on youtube.
