THIS IS THE ARMY (1943)

I've come across several dvds and uploads of this movie, all of which look horrible. Is there a decent one out there?

Warner Bros. released it on DVD in this set, with Thank Your Lucky Stars and Hollywood Canteen.

It also came out in this four-film DVD set, with those films plus Yankee Doodle Dandy.

I'm guessing that's about as good as it's going to look, unless it gets a major restoration and release, or maybe Warner Archive will get around to putting it on blu-ray.

THIS IS THE ARMY looks fine on TCM! Buy one of Warner sets.

Will have to see if available Region 1 / Free, although the Warner Archive ones play fine... Thanks!

As this title went PD years ago, the market is flooded with terrible copies. By far the best is in the Warner box set mentioned above. According to what I've read, the negative was given over to the U. S. Army back in the 40's and eventually they dumped it.
