Fiat 600 (1955, 1962)

In 1962, composer Eduardo Schejtman scored a commercial for the launching in Argentina of the Fiat 600 model in 1962 that featured animation by Manuel García Ferré. The commercial is now lost, unfortunately, but his son posted the recording of the music shortly after the death of Leandro (Gato) Barbieri who can be heard performing his saxophone.

Since there are no Fiat 600 propagandas available (except for a lousy version of an incomplete one), I decided to fill the gap considering that the model was manufactured in Argentina for 20 years. For this purpose, I took an Italian film made for the original presentation of the model in 1955 and I reedit the footage to follow the music. Eduardo liked it feeling that it seems as it was originally in this way.
