THE OUTSIDER [1931] / [1939]

Post by earlytalkiebuffRob » Sat May 11, 2019 2:37 pm

Watching GREEN FINGERS [1947] last night, I was reminded of a film from 1931, remade in 1939 called THE OUTSIDER about an osteopath who finds himself in trouble. I have seen neither and was wondering if either were extant...

I have checked and thought it was no good as The Outsider did not show, only as an Unsuccessful Search. I tried as Outsider, and lo and behold, The Outsider showed in three versions:

1926 An American film made by Rowland V Lee

1931 UK Eric Hakim Productions, Directed by Harry Lachmann

1939 UK Associated-British with George Sanders

All films are listed as having surviving 35mm material in UK

Thank you for that. All I have is a 1995 catalogue of viewing copies and other materials which just lists pressbooks for both films.
