Sad news, she was great on Twin Peaks as well.

Mod Squad was one of the very few attempts to produce a hip/hippie TV show in the 60s that actually didn't suck and get it all wrong. All of us hippie boys in the audience were in love with Peggy.

This is very sad news. She brought a quiet gravity to her role in Twin Peaks, and was one of the few performers who was equally effective in both the new and old iterations (and - spoiler alert - actually had a character arc that made sense and was properly completed).
