I've collected a fair number of music sheets but would like to actually hear what is on them.
Can anyone recommend a program that will read the notes and output to a MIDI or sound file?

I used to have a version of Finale that was able to do it. I still have it, but it is old and I have not used it in years.
For music sheet, the Brazilian hemerotheque (online for free) has tons of them because magazines published them constantly up until 1930.
