From what I can tell it looks like a 4k transfer from 8mm. Is this right?

Can someone comment about the relative DPI of 8mm? It's my understanding that 35mm is somewhere below 6kdpi, so wouldn't 8mm be below 1.5k?

After looking at the video again it looks like they are taking the new BluRay release and putting 8mm titles on it.
