Just received my copy of of the Eureka MoC three film BD set (Navigator, Seven Chances, & Battling Butler). Nice, solid packaging like the previous release (with booklet)...

How do they compare to the previous ones?

My new MOC set of Keaton films just arrived as well, and I can safely say it’s as good as the first feature film set released in 2017 (and re-released in August 2019) which included The General and Steamboat Bill Jr. It’s also as good as the Blu-ray Keaton short films box set released by MOC in 2016, which I think is outstanding. Eureka simply just does a fantastic job with these Keaton releases.

The audio commentaries for The Navigator and Seven Chances are first rate and really add to the enjoyment of the films. And another video essay by David Cairns covering all three films is also very good. It’s over 40 mins and covers the films with detail and moves along quickly—it was over before I knew it ! The only thing missing was an audio commentary for Battling Butler—but I guess you can’t have it all.

Overall, it’s a great set, just like you’d expect from Eureka. Pristine film prints and a host of extras, including a hard bound slipcase and a really informative 60 page book, make this set a must-have if you really like Keaton and want the best presentations of his films. Can’t wait for the remaining Keaton feature films to be released by Cohen and for Eureka to come up with another outstanding box set. With upcoming Criterion release of The Cameraman, it’s certainly a good time to be a Keaton fan!

Cheers,

In vain I've tried to order it from Amazon UK, and now there is a disclaimer that it cannot ship because of high demand.
I got the first box set from Masters of Cinema, and don't want to miss the opportunity to purchase this one before it goes out of print soon.

Hi Javier,

I ordered my set of the new Keaton MOC back in December when it was announced and just before it was to be released on March 30, I saw the same message from Amazon UK. I didn’t know if my order would be fulfilled with everything going on, but was pleasantly surprised when it shipped late last week.

Dylanskye pointed out in another post that it’s still being offered directly from Eureka at their website for 30 pounds with free shipping (about $37 USD). I also just saw that Amazon US is also offering it via third parties from Rarewaves imports and MovieMars, in both new and used condition. It may be that supply was interrupted due to everything that’s happening, and hopefully it’ll be offered again soon on Amazon UK. But in case you’re interested, here’s the link to Amazon US:

And here’s the one to Eureka:

Hope this helps,

Hi bigshot,

Sorry, I've been off-line most of the day, but looks like your inquiry was covered.

Alas, haven't even opened my copy yet, but it's waiting the queue. The only question remaining is will we have enough popcorn for the duration the pandemic?

Many thanks for the links!
This is the box set I was so anxious to get, and now being ordered, the waiting period it takes to arrive at my mailbox hopefully won't be long. :D

No problem, Javier—I’m glad the links helped. Hopefully your set will arrive soon ! I think you’ll like this offering as much as the last Keaton set from MOC.....let me know if it meets your expectations.

UK Amazon finally got this back available for US customers. Just ordered. Unfortunately, no expected to get it for about a month.
