I can see them colorizing the clip. I can't see them not saying they did so.

What I'm having trouble with myself, is the fact that they know that there's a masked killer on the loose, and they still choose to host a bal masqué at the same time.

Was this some sort of misguided attempt to level the playing field? "But what if we ALL wear masks?"

Not only that, but they would have accurately colored damage, while also leave in wear and tear. Not even Robert Rodriguez and the millions he had available got convincing damage in Grindhouse.
