The Guide 1921

Post by Hamilton's Grandson » Wed Sep 23, 2020 7:11 pm

This short comedy was brought to my attention when trying to ID a supporting actor, but I didn't get a reply on a PM so I am posting it here.

Does anyone have any other information on this film?. The character playing the bad man looks just like Mark Hamilton, but does anyone know who the animal character who plays the bear was? I did not think it was John Brown who was in several comedies because Brown was a very large bear. Both appear at @ 20:13 mark of the film.

Thanks,
Dana

Not much to add to what the IMDb has to say. The guy who tells Clyde Cook to find a goat looks like Billy Gilbert -- Laurel & Hardy's, not the Sennett comic.

Andy Galaxy has posted a nice assortment of silent comedies.

Went ahead and added Hamilton to cast credits on imdb since it looks like a spitting image of him.
