Cheerful-looking British actor, mainly seen on TV and specialising in comedy, such as the RAF / National Service series Get Some In! (1975-78). Also memorable as the condemned man in Ken Loach's 'Wednesday Play' THREE CLEAR SUNDAYS (1965). He started in films / TV as a boy, although film roles tended to be quite small, but in major films such as THE ENTERTAINER (1960) and ALFIE (1966).
