Warner Archive sales and pre-orders

Post by dr.giraud » Fri Jan 29, 2010 2:37 pm

Just got an e-mail from Warner Archive about a 35 percent-off sale on "war and peace" movies. (They're also running a sale on westerns.)

Not much of great interest on this board, with one big exception: You can pre-order THE LAST FLIGHT for just $12.97.

That does it, I'm finally in. I've been saying for a while that I'll be just fine with my stash of what I've taped off of TCM over the years... unless they actually put out THE LAST FLIGHT, which I'm likely in danger of playing to death.

Thanks for the heads up on the low pre-order price!

I'm still waiting for Kay Francis. Then I'll get excited.

DeepDiscount is having a sale on their Warner Archive titles, (which doesn't seem to include the latest batch available at the Warner site, but most of the others.) Most of the discs are at $14.98 although some are a bit more. They do ship internationally and in the States, shipping is free.

I just ordered a handful of discs from Warner's site and they were marked down in the checkout page. There was nothing saying they were on sale. Also free shipping. The only fly in the ointment is they charge for sales tax.

SWEET KITTY BELAIRS - Color?

Post by neal99 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 8:27 am

I assume that the Warner Archive release of SWEET KITTY BELAIRS will not be in Technicolor as it was originally released. Their website doesn't really say. Anyone know for sure?

It says in the description of the film on their website that SWEET KITTY BELAIRS is in black & white.

To anyone's knowledge (never say never), the Technicolor elements on SWEET KITTY BELAIRS went away long before the days of preservation.
