EAST IS WEST

Post by Fast and Furious » Wed Mar 24, 2010 6:30 am

Hi, I have a large movie prop and costume collection in Los Angeles. I have a large Theda Bara archive including all her costumes, jewelery, wigs, etc. known to exist.

I recently found Warner Oland's costume from EAST IS WEST and need a copy of the movie for screen shots. If anyone can help, please contact me. Also, if I can help with anything "Theda Bara".....let me know.

Thanks. [email protected]

EAST IS WEST has been discussed quite recently on this forum, so do a search (note the oddities in entering search terms). It's undergoing a restoration, and is not available at this time, though publicity shots from the film have been posted here as well, and may be as useful for your purposes.

Hi, I looked around and couldn't find any East is West stills. If anyone could post them here, or email them to me......it would be appreciated. Thanks.

The restoration of "East Is West" is discussed here:

There is only one still in that discussion and it is of Constance Talmadge.

You're right, Oland doesn't show -- sorry about that.

I notice that the "East is West" info from Elif dates from a little over a year ago. Has anyone heard if they have completed the restoration?

Sorry, no Oland, but this shot's too cute not to share:
