SILENT MOVIE SALE AT WARNER ARCHIVE!

Post by CoffeeDan » Wed May 12, 2010 10:14 am

All silent films listed here are 30% off now through May 25!

(But what's HOLLYWOOD REVUE OF 1929 doing there? Oh, never mind, it's 30% off too -- I'm not complaining . . . )

Would love to take part, but since I am in Canada. No dice.

I, too, am beginning to find this US-only policy slightly annoying.

Just saw this now. But man...I want to take advantage of this sale but doesn't Warner tend to do these buy 5 for $10 sales quite a bit and is probably going to going to happen again soon?

I live in Toronto, but buy them all the time. Go to the TCM web site and buy from there. They use Movies Ulimited for the fulfillment, and MU ships to Canada

Warner Archive

WB Archive titles try DeepDisount currently $19.39 each(was a bit cheaper to start with to get it going there). No opening order fee and postage works out good just see their shipping rates and go from there. Some are in stock and others shipped when they return to stock & no extra fees. Postage is charged upfront but titles are charged just before dispatch. Postage is for outside USA addresses might have a minimum figure for free USA delivery. I ordered most of the box sets and I got these at a discount from them. Funnily, I had to pay US$9 approx for the Our Gang set than the Swing Jazz set which is a bigger production. But at least I got them. TCM/Movies Unlimited hadn't been offering these sets but do the Universal Vault ones. Buying direct from Movies Unlimited reveals(recently reduced international postage as have Amazon) higher prices than thru TCM which has increased from $17.99 to $19.99. Last I checked thru MU was raised from $17.99 to $23.99 negating the time to time $5.00 off on-line vouchers from MU which become a no option to buy there just to save US$5.
