Bébé mystery

Can anyone help with a query posted by academic Roland-François Lack on his site The Cine-Tourist? He has examined the film Bébé victime d'une erreur judiciaire, given as an extract on the recent Gaumont boxed set Le Cinéma premier, 1897-1913, and noticed that the exteriors are shot outside the Pathé studios. How can a Gaumont film be made outside a Pathé studio? Bébé did move from Gaumont to a Pathe subsidiary company Eclectic around this time, which suggests an error in the filmographies, but someone is confident in the identification of the film as being directed by Gaumont's Louis Feulliade, and at least one member of the supporting case was a Gaumont regular.

Well, Luke, you wouldn't expect a Gaumont film to be made inside the Pathe studio.
